I'm really happy to be taking part in this from 12.7.2014 to the 7.9.2014 http://www.makersguildinwales.org.uk/whats-on/exhibitions/details/337-summer-show-2014
I've really been enjoying getting new work made for the bctf. Occasionally, a small idea unfolds in front of you, and just keeps going. Using a technique called 'pate de verre', meaning glass paste, I work with layers of fine coloured glass powder to create drawn & painterly marks in the surface of the glass, which are then fused together.
I'm exhibiting at the British Craft Trade Fair in Harrogate for the first time in April this year. I'm working on some new glass bowls that will incorporate elements from my landscape drawings. The bowls will have patterns on both sides. Here's the link to the BCTF.
I've always worked with a limited palette so I was a bit cautious when Sara Squire suggested that I tried placing my 'pate de verre' glass bowls onto something bright. She always gives great advice!
Just delivered a selection of my new 'Butte bowls' to twenty twenty in Much Wenlock, Shropshire.
I'll be taking a few to MADELONDON as well.
I'm very pleased to be exhibiting at MADE LONDON with design gap from the 25-27 October.
Come to ONE MARYLEBONE NW1 4AQ and take a look.
